Ember Lumens Look Breakdowns

For every look in Ember Lumens, Anh Co Tran used a combination of Milbon’s professional styling products to achieve versatile, radiant results that brought each look to life. Here is a step-by-step guide on how Anh achieved these looks.

Jensen’s Bouncy Curls
  1. Anh applied ~3 pumps of Milbon&’s Froth Blowout Foam throughout her hair and on two bundles of tape-in extensions from Extensionology (18–22”).
  2. Anh rough dried, then smoothed with an ATO Boar Bristle Round Brush No. 8.
  3. He curled the hair horizontally with a 1.5” Marcel iron, leaving a mohawk section curled away from the face.
  4. He used Milbon’s Strong Hold Hairspray #7 before each curl, set in Velcro rollers for 20 minutes.
  5. Then, he took out the rollers, brushed them out, teased lightly, and applied Milbon&’s Puff Finishing Paste on the roots for lift.
  6. To finish, he misted with Strong Hold Hairspray #7 for shaping and Milbon’s Extra Strong Hold Hairspray #10 for all-over hold.

Result: Voluminous, soft, bouncy curls with strong hold and body at the roots.

Jensen’s Loose French Twist Updo
  1. Building off of the bouncy curls, Anh sectioned Jensen’s hair from ear to ear; twisted the back section into a French twist and wrapped her remaining hair loosely over the top to create a soft funnel shape.
  2. He left some ends undone for texture.
  3. Anh curled front pieces for slight bend and softened with Milbon&’s Velvet Texturizing Cream for hydration.
  4. Anh used Strong Hold Hairspray #7 for flexible hold and Extra Strong Hold Hairspray #10 to lock in shape.

Result: Effortless, romantic French twist with soft, face-framing curls.

Beau’s Pompadour Blowout
  1. Starting off, Anh applied a large palm-sized amount of Froth Blowout Foam, and blow-dried his hair straight but with movement.
  2. Following, he flat-ironed the ends slightly to smooth, then added texture for softness.
  3. Next, Anh applied Velvet Texturizing Cream for hydration and separation.
  4. He finished with Milbon’s Molding Wax #5 for a more undone, pliable look and sealed with Extra Strong Hold Hairspray #10.

Result: Smooth, voluminous pompadour with soft movement and flexible structure.

BEAU’S DEFINED CURLS WITH WET FINISH
  1. Anh wet Beau’s hair completely and applied 4–5 pea-sized amounts of Velvet Texturizing Cream for hydration.
  2. Following, he diffused the hair to define curls and set the shape.
  3. Anh applied Milbon’s Wet Shine Gel Cream #8 for hold and a glossy, wet finish.
  4. For touch-ups, he used a palm-sized amount of Froth Blowout Foam to rehydrate and re-style.

Result: Moisturized, separated curls with a sleek wet look and soft definition.
