Kristina's spikey updo hairstyle at Tom Ford Paris Fashion Week

Kristina x Tom Ford: Paris Fashion Week Hair Look Breakdown

For another Tom Ford appearance during Paris Fashion Week, Kristina wore a twisted bun that balanced chicness with an effortless, everyday feel. The style featured soft sideburn pieces paired with a spiked updo knot, creating a casual yet modern silhouette for fashion week.

Here’s how Anh Co Tran created the look.

1. The Prep

Anh began on damp hair, applying Milbon&’s Monochromatic Froth Blowout Foam throughout to add body, structure, and smooth the hair.

To keep the ends hydrated, he added a small amount of Milbon’s Smooth Luminous Bodifying Oil through the mid-lengths and ends. This lightweight formula helps to soften the cuticle while maintaining shine and maximizing fullness.

With the products evenly distributed, Anh then blow dried her hair smooth to create a foundation for the updo style.

2. Incorporating Texture

Before shaping the style, Anh first misted her hair with Milbon’s Weightless Dry Texture Spray 4. The texture spray adds grit and separation, giving hair the structure it needs to hold its shape during an up-style.

He then worked Milbon&’s Monochromatic Velvet Texturizing Cream from the lengths through ends to enhance hydration and soft definition.

3. Creating The Bun

With the texture established, Anh gathered her hair into a mid-high ponytail while leaving the soft sideburn pieces loose around the face. Using a small flat iron, Anh smoothed the sideburn pieces to define the finish.

He then twisted the ponytail into a knot and secured it with bobby pins, intentionally leaving about three inches of the ends out from underneath the bun. With the loose ends, Anh created a spiked effect, adding an edgy, modern detail to her updo.

4. Adding Details

To emphasize the texture of the exposed ends, Anh added a small amount of the Velvet Texturizing Cream to the tips, separating and shaping them into soft, piecey spikes.

He finished the style by sealing everything in place with Milbon’s Firm Hold Shielding Hairspray 10.

The finished look delivered an effortless style for Tom Ford at Paris Fashion Week.
