Looking for where to start? Here’s a breakdown of each Curated Cutting class and who it’s best suited for.

In-Person Education

For stylists who learn best through direct feedback and hands-on application, Curated Cutting’s Hands-On courses offer an intimate classroom environment where you’ll work closely alongside Anh Co Tran and the Education Team. Small class sizes allow for personalized instruction, real-time feedback, and technical refinement throughout the day.

Fundamentals Hands-On

Best for: First-time Curated Cutting students and stylists wanting to build a strong foundation or refresh their skills.

This is a recommended place to begin for stylists new to Curated Cutting. While there are no prerequisites for any course, Fundamentals introduces the core principles behind Lived-In Hair and provides a step-by-step approach to Anh’s dry cutting philosophy. You’ll build a strong technical foundation while learning haircutting techniques that can be immediately applied behind the chair.

Mastery I Hands-On & Mastery II Hands-On

Best for: Stylists ready to advance their dry cutting techniques.

Mastery I and Mastery II expand on the foundation established in Fundamentals and focus on creating more advanced lived-in shapes. Students learn how to build movement, texture, and customization into their haircuts while refining technical execution. The class is designed to help stylists create more personalized results for their clients. Students will learn Anh’s complete approach: blow dry methods to prep the hair, dry cutting techniques, and styling know-hows. Choose the Mastery I for a focus on medium-long looks and the Mastery II class for creating short-pixie length cuts.
