Alysa Liu x Louis Vuitton: Paris Fashion Week Hair Look Breakdown
Following her debut at the Louis Vuitton show during Paris Fashion Week, Alysa Liu transitioned into an evening look featuring a textured updo. Building on the natural, airy Combo Waves created in her previous style, here’s how Anh Co Tran styled Alysa’s second look.
1. The Foundation
Working with the texture from Alysa’s previous style, Anh added a pea-sized amount of Milbon&’s Monochromatic Velvet Texturizing Cream throughout her hair for a boost of hydration.
Using a wide tooth comb and raking technique, Anh gently gathered the hair into a ponytail at the upper-mid section of the head. He then used a Mason Pearson brush to smooth the lower sections of the hair, creating a clean finish beneath the ponytail.
To control flyaways, Anh misted Milbon’s Flex Memory Hold Hairspray 7 throughout the hair.
2. The Bun
Once the ponytail was secured, Anh applied an additional quarter-sized amount of the Velvet Texturizing Cream to the lengths to enhance separation and give the bun more dimension.
He then twisted the ponytail into a bun, shaping it into a slightly undone knot that maintained movement while still feeling polished for the event.
To secure the knot, Anh pinned the bun in place using a combination of hairpins and bobby pins.
3. The Details
Anh left out a few face-framing pieces from the bun to soften the overall look. Using a ⅜” straightening iron, he detailed the loose hairs by creating subtle bends that complemented the texture of the updo.
He then lightly misted more of Milbon’s Flex Memory Hold Hairspray 7 to smooth any remaining flyaways.
4. The Finish
To ensure long-lasting hold, Anh sealed the entire style with Milbon’s Firm Hold Shielding Hairspray 10. This final step helped maintain the bun’s hold while protecting the style against humidity throughout the evening.
The Result
Alysa’s second look transformed her textured waves into a modern updo with soft, face-framing details. The hairstyle felt elevated and effortlessly cool, carrying her seamlessly into her second Louis Vuitton event at Paris Fashion Week.
