Kristina x Tom Ford: Paris Fashion Week Hair Look Breakdown
For Kristina’s second look for Tom Ford during Paris Fashion Week, Anh Co Tran created an effortless blowout full of bounce and movement. The glamorous, touchable texture balanced well with her intricate Tom Ford jacket. Read more about how Anh created her look:
1. Hair Prep
Beginning on damp hair, Anh generously applied Milbon&’s Monochromatic Froth Blowout Foam all over. This lightweight foam creates body and lift while helping control frizz and flyaways for a smooth blowout.
2. The Blowout
With the Froth evenly distributed in each section, Anh moved into a blow dry to create a bouncy blowout. To enhance fullness and bounce, he installed a row of extensions throughout the hair to elevate the final look.
3. Add Dimension
Next, using a combination of 1.5” and 1.25” curling irons, Anh curled the sections with horizontal waves to create structure with movement. The smaller 1.25” curling iron was especially useful to refine her face-framing pieces and add more detail to the hairline. After curling each section, he then tucked the ends back with duck bill clips to let her curls set. This technique locked in the bounce while preserving the smooth finish of her blowout.
4. Add Texture
Once the curls cooled and set, Anh removed the clips and began to incorporate texture into her curls. Focusing on her roots, he lightly teased the hair to create more lift and shape.
Anh then misted Milbon’s Weightless Dry Texture Spray 4 all over the hair to add grit, movement, and texture while keeping the style soft and flexible.
Finally, Anh fluffed out her hair using a wide-tooth comb, opening the curls to create an effortless, voluminous finish.
The Final Result
A soft, bouncy blowout with effortless volume and touchable texture. Kristina looked elevated and glamorous in Paris.
