Recap of Anh’s Recent Trip and Class in Seoul

Anh recently had the incredible opportunity to venture to Seoul! His trip was filled with memorable moments, intimate conversations, and inspiring discoveries.
Highlights of the Trip

The highlight of Anh’s Seoul journey was undoubtedly the chance to connect with some of the most talented hair designers in the city. Sharing haircuts, styles, and intimate chats with these elite professionals was an honor that he won’t soon forget. A big thank you to Milbon Korea for making this dream collaboration happen!

Memorable Experiences

During his time in Seoul, Anh and his peers took a deep dive into their personal and professional journeys, sharing their highs and lows. It was refreshing for Anh to realize that, despite their different backgrounds and cultures, they were united by common challenges and aspirations. These open discussions not only strengthened their bonds but also enriched their learning experience.

Teaching Lived-In Hair Techniques

As Anh taught Lived-In Hair techniques, he was thrilled to see the students’ enthusiasm. Anh showcased popular American hairstyles, he demonstrated a live mid shag haircut and then styled three models with trending styles from the US: Y2K spiky bun, old money bob, and a ’90s blowout. Although these styles differ from current Korean trends, they embraced it as a fresh American approach. Anh could see them envisioning ways to incorporate these skills into their own signature styles.

Future Plans

Excitingly, Anh is already looking forward to returning to Seoul in October for the DA-LINK event! He can’t wait to introduce these new concepts to the students and see how they interpret them in their own creative ways. It promises to be a fun and fresh experience, and he is counting down the days!

Anh left this trip feeling invigorated and excited for what the future holds—both for himself and the talented designers he had the pleasure of working with. Until next time, Seoul!
