Today, Anh has shared the secrets behind some of these breathtaking red carpet hairstyles, and how you can recreate them at home.
Selma Blair’s Effortless Elegance
One of Anh’s favorite red carpet moments was styling Selma for an event. To achieve her elegant yet effortless look:
1. Anh started by applying Milbon’s Heat Protective Mist to damp hair from roots to ends.
2. Anh then mixed a quarter size of Milbon’s Molding Wax #5 with Wet Shine Gel Cream #5 and applied it evenly throughout the hair.
3. Anh then combed the hair back while maintaining volume on top to avoid a flat look.
4. Anh then diffused the hair until dry and sealed the look with Milbon’s Super Strong Hold Hairspray #10 for a long-lasting finish.
Anne Hathaway’s Timeless Ponytail
Anne Hathaway’s red carpet look exuded timeless sophistication. To recreate her stunning ponytail:
1. Anh applied a palm-sized amount of Milbon’s Wave Enhancing Mousse to damp hair.
2. Anh then applied a quarter size of Milbon’s Molding Wax #7 and Wet Shine Gel Cream #8.
3. Anh then created a deep side part and combed the hair back into a ponytail. He secured the ponytail and twisted it back towards her head, using bobby pins to hold it in place.
4. He finished the look with Milbon’s Super Strong Hold Hairspray #10 and diffused the hair until it dried for a polished finish.
Aimee Song’s Chic Braided Updo
Aimee’s red carpet look was all about a chic and intricate braided updo. To achieve this style:
1. Anh established a middle part and created an under braid (also known as a Dutch braid).
2. Anh then brought the braid back to the center of the nape of the neck and secured it with bobby pins.
3. He then used a twisting technique on the other side, twisting the hair back into the lower part of the neck and securing it with bobby pins.
4. To add texture, he applied Milbon’s Dry Texturizing Spray #4 all over, and sealed the look with Milbon’s Super Strong Hold Hairspray #10 for a final touch of elegance.
