Rei Ami x Rabanne: Paris Fashion Week Hair Look Breakdown
After debuting textured waves and blunt bangs at the Off-White Show, Rei Ami transitioned into her next look at Paris Fashion Week for Rabanne. Building off of the textured waves Anh Co Tran created for her previous style, he transformed her hair into an effortless updo that balanced structure with relaxed movement.
The result was a cool, edgy knot that maintained the texture from earlier in the day while creating an entirely new silhouette for Rabanne. Here’s how Anh created her look.
1. Refreshing the Texture
Working with Rei’s hair dry, Anh scrunched Milbon&’s Monochromatic Froth Blowout Foam into her hair section by section. This provided grit, separation, and long-lasting hold to support her updo style.
2. Creating the Updo
Anh then gathered the hair and loosely twisted it up into a messy bun at the back. To secure the bun, he wrapped a section of hair around the base of the tie and pinned it into place.
3. Framing the Face
To maintain softness and balance in her look, Anh left Rei’s bangs and face-framing pieces loose. The relaxed front sections contrasted the structure of the bun, creating an effortless silhouette.
4. Enhancing the Texture
To finish the look, Anh applied Milbon’s Weightless Dry Texture Spray 4 all over the hair to amplify texture, giving her updo an edgy, undone feel.
The Result
The final look was an effortlessly cool knot with soft texture. By building on Rei’s textured style, Anh transformed her hair into a modern updo that felt relaxed, edgy, and perfectly suited for the Rabanne runway.
