Alysa Liu x Louis Vuitton: Paris Fashion Week Hair Look Breakdown
Alysa Liu made her Paris Fashion Week debut at the Louis Vuitton show this season, marking a new chapter for the Olympic champion as she stepped into the fashion world. For the special event, Anh Co Tran styled her hair with textured, voluminous waves and effortless movement. Here’s how Anh created her style for the show.
1. Prepping the Hair
Anh began on damp hair. He generously applied three palmfuls of Milbon&’s Monochromatic Froth Blowout Foam to build extra body, add long-lasting hold, and provide heat protection up to 450º before blow drying.
He then used a pump each of Milbon’s Reawaken Renewing Primer and Smooth Luminous Bodifying Oil through the mid-lengths and ends to provide lightweight hydration. These products worked together to maintain shine and manageability throughout the show.
With the hair prepped, Anh moved into the blow dry and gave Alysa a smooth blowout to establish the foundation for her waves.
2. Creating the Waves
Once the blowout was complete, Anh styled Combo Waves for Alysa using a 1.25” curling iron by alternating the wave patterns of his signature Nu Wave and Lived-in Wave techniques. This created natural movement and dimension throughout her waves.
Anh then switched to a ⅜” straightening iron to create smaller bends and subtle detailing on her bangs and face framing pieces.
3. Building Texture
To add lift and texture to her look, Anh applied a quarter-sized amount of Milbon&’s Monochromatic Puff Finishing Paste at the roots. This helped create an airy cushion with a boost of body and texture.
He then misted Milbon’s Weightless Dry Texture Spray 4 throughout the hair, enhancing the natural texture and giving Alysa’s waves an effortless, lived-in feel.
4. Finishing the Look
To hold everything in place, Anh finished her style with Milbon’s Flex Memory Hold Hairspray 7 all over.
For extra control and flyaway protection, he detailed select areas with a mist of Milbon’s Firm Hold Shielding Hairspray 10 to ensure the style’s longevity throughout the event.
Final Result
Alysa’s finished style felt effortless and true to her personal aesthetic. The look featured touchable, voluminous waves with airy texture and natural movement that perfectly suited her debut appearance for Louis Vuitton at Paris Fashion Week.
