Rei Ami x LVMH Prize: Paris Fashion Week Hair Look Breakdown

Rei Ami stepped out at Paris Fashion Week at the LVMH Prize showroom wearing an asymmetric style with loose, uniform waves. The sculpted look brought a refined, fashion-forward edge while maintaining softness and movement. Here’s how Anh Co Tran created her stunning hairstyle for the event:

1. Prep

Starting on dry hair, Anh applied Milbon&’s Monochromatic Froth Blowout Foam section by section to create structure, control frizz, and build longevity into the style.

To enhance fullness and balance the silhouette, he installed a few clip-in extensions toward the lower sections of her hair. This subtle addition gave the final look extra density and movement.

2. Waves

Working from the bottom upward, Anh styled her hair using his signature Nu Wave technique to establish a soft, uniform wave pattern.

Once the horizontal wave pattern was set, he created an asymmetric shape by tucking the bangs to one side and pinning them securely in place. On that same side, he gently pushed the hair back to create a loose, continuous wave pattern that flowed seamlessly through the lengths of her hair.

3. Definition

Before brushing out the curls, Anh misted the hair with Milbon’s Flex Memory Hairspray 7 to provide a workable hold while taming any frizz.

He then used a wide-tooth comb to carefully brush through the curls, defining the soft waves so that they flowed in a consistent direction and pattern throughout the style.

To complete her asymmetric style, Anh secured the opposite side of her waves with discreet bobby pins to hold the structure in place and maintain the sculptured look.

4. Set

To lock the waves into place, Anh sealed the style with Milbon’s Firm Hold Shielding Hairspray 10 for long-lasting hold during the event.

For a final polished finish, he lightly misted Rei’s hair with Milbon’s Brilliant Shine Spray to enhance her style with a radiant glow.

Anh’s Pro Tip: Always apply hairspray before a shine spray. Otherwise the hair can become too slippery for the hairspray to stick. Setting the hair first ensures the structure stays intact, while the shine spray layered on top enhances the final finish.

Final Result

A take on classic finger waves that looked polished yet effortless. The soft asymmetrical style brought an edge to Paris Fashion Week.
