ALL ABOUT THE MATCHA

Boost Your Energy On-The-Go: My Guide to Making Matcha

As a busy hairstylist, your days are filled with creativity, client consultations, and long hours on your feet. With energy being a precious commodity, it’s crucial to find a quick and convenient way to stay energized throughout the day. The antioxidants matcha contains can even lower blood pressure, reduce your risk of heart disease, and boost your metabolism. It also contains more caffeine than regular green tea. Here is how I make my daily matcha, which has quickly become my secret go-to to keep me on-the-go!

STEP 1:

My favorite is Matcha Kari’s Ceremonial Grade Matcha, but any matcha powder will work. You also want to make sure you have a cup of hot water. Only 2-4 ounces is needed depending on the serving size, a sifter, spoon, and a bamboo matcha whisk.

STEP 2:

Sift the matcha into a mug or small bowl to get rid of any lumps.

STEP 3:

Pour about 2 ounces of the hot water in your mug or bowl. Then using a matcha whisk or small regular whisk, whisk briskly from side to side until the matcha is fully dispersed and there is a foamy layer on top. Now it’s ready to enjoy! I like to drink my matcha straight or with a dash of oat milk.

By incorporating matcha into your routine, you can enjoy a natural and sustained energy boost. So, grab a cup of this vibrant green elixir, and experience the rejuvenating power of matcha for yourself!
