Michelle Yeoh for the PGA Awards
Michelle Yeoh has proven herself to be a legendary actress with unmatched talent and an impressive career to match.
With a past full of iconic roles such as Eleanor in Crazy Rich Asians, Evelyn in Everything Everywhere All at Once, and Yu Shu Lien in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon it’s no wonder why she became the first Asian woman to ever win Best Female Actor in a Leading Role.
Anh had the lovely opportunity to style Michelle Yeoh’s hair for the 2023 PGA awards. The two decided on a side parted “Lived-in” waved look to complete her Chanel ensemble.
Follow along below to know how to recreate Michelle’s side parted “Lived-in” waves.
Step 1
While the hair is damp, spray it with Milbon’s Thickening Mist 4 from roots to ends. This will help give the hair volume in the end result.
Step 2
To create extra lift, flip the head over and smooth out the hair.
Step 3
Now onto styling. With a 1.5-inch Marcel Iron, begin waving the hair using Anh’s “Lived-in” wave technique.
- Pro Tip: It’s best to start from the nape and work your way up to the crown, alternating the direction of the waves for a more beachy look.
Step 4
Once you’re at the front of the head, establish a side part and ensure that the waves towards the front of the face are away from the face.
Step 5
Use a wide tooth comb to soften and blend in the waves.
Step 6
Push the hair off to one side and apply Milbon’s Extra Strong Hold 10 to set the entire look.
