MOVEMENT: PART 2 CLASSICAL SERIES LOOK BREAKDOWN

Exploring the art, beauty, and expression of movement through hair and dance.

Anh wanted to explore and showcase how hair and dance can work together in perfect synergy. The Classical series was inspired by the art of ballet. Even with slow, controlled movements, your hair does not stay stiff or rigid, it finds its own life and freedom. Anh wanted to harness this powerful yet subtle energy of the hair through classical dance and present movement in an intimate, contemporary way.

HERE IS A BREAKDOWN OF THE TWO DIFFERENT LOOKS FROM PART 2 CLASSICAL

Look 1

STEP 1:

On damp hair Anh applied a few sprays of Milbon’s Heat Protective Mist all over the hair.

STEP 2:

Anh generously applied a few sprays of Milbon’s Creative Style Thickening Mist 4 to the roots.

STEP 3:

Anh applied a few drops of Milbon’s Illuminating Glow Oil to the ends of hair.

STEP 4:

Working from the bottom up, Anh blow dried the hair straight with ATO Boar Bristle Round Brush #7.

STEP 5:

Anh used the AnhxSultra Pro Marcel Iron 1.25″ to create a combination of Lived-In waves and Nu-Waves for a textured Lived-In look.

STEP 6:

After establishing a middle part, Anh separated two front pieces of the hair from ear to ear, to create face framing loose hair pieces. Then Anh separated the remaining hair into two pieces, on the top and bottom, to create a double knot.

STEP 7:

Anh finished the look by spraying the hair with Milbon’s Extra Strong Hold Hairspray 10.
