A Journey through Shanghai

In the bustling metropolis of Shanghai, a city that seamlessly blends traditional Chinese culture with modern innovation, I embarked on a remarkable adventure last month. From exploring iconic landmarks to savoring delectable cuisine and immersing myself in the vibrant local culture, my travel diaries to Shanghai were filled with unforgettable experiences.

1. The Majestic Bund: A Glimpse of Shanghai’s Past and Present
As I strolled along the waterfront promenade of the Bund, I was mesmerized by the stunning juxtaposition of colonial-era architecture and towering skyscrapers across the Huangpu River. The breathtaking skyline, with iconic landmarks such as the Oriental Pearl Tower and Shanghai World Financial Center, created a mesmerizing panorama.

2. Culinary Delights: From Street Food to Fine Dining
No trip to Shanghai would be complete without savoring its mouthwatering cuisine. I indulged in local delicacies such as xiaolongbao (steamed soup dumplings), shengjianbao (pan-fried pork buns), and la zi ji (spicy chicken). The bustling food markets offered a sensory explosion of flavors, while upscale restaurants presented a refined dining experience. Each bite was a delightful journey into the diverse culinary landscape of Shanghai.

3.Connecting with other hairstylists through Milbon.

It was incredible to connect with Milbon’s global team and meet some new stylists and offer some insights and instruction on ‘Lived-In’ hair. We also indulged in the elegant art of Chinese tea ceremonies.

My travel diaries to Shanghai were a testament to the city’s irresistible charm, blending a rich history with modern marvels. Shanghai offered a diverse tapestry of experiences. This captivating city left an indelible mark on my heart, and I eagerly look forward to returning one day to explore even more of its wonders.
