2023 DA-LINK EVENT IN KOREA
THE MILBON KOREA DA-LINK EVENT 2023
The DA Event was created to challenge and support hair designers worldwide, while also encouraging them to always continue learning to reach their full potential. Milbon’s “Design Abilities” or “DA” is a platform for stylists to unleash their creativity, and prepare them for their journey to improve and evolve their “Design Abilities.” As the Global Creative Director, Anh had the honor to participate as a judge in 2022 and again recently in Korea and Taiwan!
At this year’s Korea DA-LINK event the judges were asked to evaluate the designers based on their ability to cohesively display and preform their skills from online to offline (O2O). Each participant submitted some of their online work examples from social media then had to interpret their signature looks on a live model at their gallery station during the event, incorporating completed looks in hair, makeup and fashion. The goal was to have a seamless transition between their work displayed digitally and their ability to execute it in the salon.
What made this experience so rewarding was seeing Milbon’s commitment to giving an active platform to the new generation of hairstylists. Also this years event grew so much in participation and attendance, even providing the audience with a digital viewing option of their online submissions and a chance to vote for an audience award winner.
Every participating designer was able to take home their final scores from the judges as a learning opportunity. Anh was so excited and encouraged to continue to grow and inspire this community. Especially since this incredible event will also be coming to the states in the near future!
