ALL ABOUT THE SHAG!

The shag has taken over and It seems like everyone just can’t get enough of it. but who can blame them? ESpecially since it’s the perfect haircut if you’re looking to add a little bit of edge to your look.
If you’re thinking about getting a shag, here’s a little Q+A we did with Anh that touches on a few things to consider before you commit.
What advice do you give someone who is wanting to get a shag?
  • A shag will require a bit more styling so therefore, you’re going to have to put products in your hair on a day to day basis in order to achieve the texture that you want. Especially since you’re going to now have a lot of layers to work with.
What STyling tips do you have for someone with a shag?
  • Texture is going to be your best friend here! My favorites for creating texture in the hair are easily going to be either the Molding Wax 3 or even the Matte Texturing Paste 8.
  • If you’re looking to hydrate the hair while also keeping the frizz at bay then I’d recommend using a bit of Wave Defining Cream 1 throughout your hair.

how long would you recommend waiting before getting a retouch?
  • Definitely 3 or 4 months. That’s the average amount of time it’ll take for the haircut to grow out and you’ll want to keep your shag as fresh as possible!
