JESSICA BIEL’S Y2K UP-DO!
Recently, the talented Jessica Biel mesmerized us as she graced the premiere of the highly anticipated second season of her acclaimed show Cruel Summer, with a stunning up-do that effortlessly transported us back to the early 2000s. With a nod to the iconic era, Biel’s hairstyle captured the essence of Y2K glamour, leaving us in awe of her timeless style.
Join us as we break down the techniques and guide you through Anh’s process of recreating Jessica Biel’s captivating up-do!
Step 1
Anh started out by creating a deep center part in the hair, then he took two triangle sections from the front hairline and clipped them out of the way.
Step 2
He then sprayed the hair with a bit of Milbon’s Dry Texturizing Spray 4 for some added texture and grip.
Step 3
He then took two diagonal sections from the occipital bone, split the hair in half, and gathered the top part of the hair into a mid ponytail.
Step 4
Then once the ponytail was secured, Anh took the bottom section, gathered it up, and then incorporated it into the top ponytail.
Step 5
He then sprayed the hair with Milbon’s Strong Hold Hairspray 7.
Step 6
After, he smoothed any loose hair into the ponytail.
Pro Tip: For a polished look, lightly apply hairspray to a boar bristle toothbrush and gently sweep it over the hair to tame any flyaways and achieve a sleek finish.
Step 7
Then, Anh took the two triangle sections that he left out and then gathered them into the ponytail while still keeping the parting down the middle intact.
Step 8
Then he finished off the entire look by spraying the hair with Milbon’s Strong Hold Hairspray 10.
